tier-harribel:
“I’m troubled.” she replied dryly. She held her gaze firm, blonde brow furrowing in frustration as she awaited his answer. Never before had she held any bit of resentment towards her appearance, but Harribel found that she simply couldn’t help the small part of her that detested Starrk for allowing her to feel even the slightest bit self-conscious of something that should never have been a problem to begin with. Allowing herself a sigh, the Tres promptly repositioned her collar before continuing.

“If not for my visage being aesthetically unpleasing, then for what purpose have you yet to kiss me?”
“Respect.” he answered truthfully. “Despite how forward my advances have been, I would never be so bold as to kiss you before I knew you wanted to.” It was a bit surprising to hear her say concerned about her physical appearance. Granted, it had come up in conversation a few times in the past, but Starrk made it known that he didn’t find her mask fragment to be any kind of determent. He loved everything about her.

“If now is the right time then I’ll be more than happy to kiss you right here and now.”

“You mind delivering a cake for me? I’d do it myself, but to be honest, I really don’t feel like it after making the damn thing.”
“A cake? Ha, sure, where to?”

“What’s his name…one of Grimmjow’s, the blonde one.”

“Take it over to him for me. I don’t think he’s tried something I’ve made before, so I wanted to give him the opportunity.”
“The blonde one… ah, gotcha. Yylfordt.”

“Leave it t’ me.”
“Thanks.” he hands her a small box and nods.

“Feel free to have some if you want. It’s chocolate.”

tier-harribel replied to your post: “A word, Starrk?”
“…It concerns our… —‘us’.”
“No need to be nervous, Harribel. It’s just me.”

“Speak your mind. I’m all ears.”
“I’d hardly call it a matter of nerves,” she murmured gruffly. Shoulders squared, the Tres gave the Primera a hard stare before raising a single gloved hand to grasp the edge of her collar. A brief moment of hesitation passed before she tugged her collar down, revealing the fragmented mask that dominated the entire lower half her face and continued beneath her jacket, tucking it beneath her chin.

“…Does this… bother you?”
“Pardon me for misreading you,” he replied, bowing his head slightly. He arched an eyebrow as he stared back at Harribel, wondering what she would do next. As she pulled her collar down, Starrk merely watched her quietly until she spoke again. He shook his head, resting a hand against the partial mask.

“Why would it? It’s a part of you, and last time I checked, nothing about you bothered me.”
Cake won’t cut it

She let out a sigh, pronouncing her next words slowly and clearly: “I wouldn’t have to strangle you if ya stopped trippin’ over, ‘kay? It’s your fault I’m holding on this tight.” Nevertheless, she completely let go of Starrk, relying on both her own balance and Starrk’s ability to not stumble over, to keep her sitting happily on his shoulders.
“So that means I can’t have cake anymore?!” Lilynette cried, distressed by the idea. “Sometimes my cake has fruit on it, y’know! So you don’t need to take any cake away!! It’s not all bad for me!” Taking a deep breath, the young hollow continued in a much calmer manner. “What other sorta stuff has vitamins and minerals? I don’t jus’ wanna eat fruit and vegetables all day.

“—And I’m fine with being small.”
“Maybe I won’t trip as long as you don’t choke me,” he said flatly, relieved that she finally released her choke hold on him.
“Of course you can still have cake,” Starrk reassured. “It doesn’t matter if it has fruit in it, Lilynette. It’s still cake. You’ll still be able to have some, just not all of the time. Unlike sleep, cake can be bad for you if you have to much.” He turned around a corner, careful not to move is passenger in a way that would cause her to cling to him tightly. “Meats and breads are also an option. If you really need something sweet, then I’ll bake things in a healthier way— less sugar, butter and oil. It’ll taste just as good, but a little better for you.”

“You’ll still have to eat fruits and vegetables though. No negotiating.”
“Sure.”

“You can have as many words as you want.”
